I’ve been reading….

I recently finished reading a fairly recent book by Pastor J. Josh Smith, The Titus Ten: Foundations for Godly Manhood, by B&H Publishing, 2022. It’s been a while since I read a book specifically written to help men learn, pursue, and cultivate a lifestyle honoring to Christ. Smith’s book is based on ten qualities from the apostle Paul’s short letter to his mentee, Titus.

These qualities include chapters on: Dominion, Gospel, Identity, Assignments, Authority, Character, Doctrine, Mission, Zeal and Investments. Each chapter includes questions for reflection and discussion that can be used in a group setting with other men.

As Paul challenged Titus in how to be the kind of man God desires to use in the family, the church and the world, today’s men will be encouraged by this study to go and do likewise.
