What is the Cooperative Program?
The Cooperative Program, often referred to as CP, is how Southern Baptists attempt to accomplish what Jesus instructed us to do – “go into all the world and make disciples.” We call it the Great Commission. By combining our prayers and our resources, Louisiana Baptists are able to support missions and ministries in our state, across North America and around the world.
How does it work?
Each church prayerfully decides what portion of their undesignated receipts they desire to commit towards this effort. These gifts are forwarded to the state and then to the Southern Baptist Convention for distribution as decided upon by messengers to their respective conventions.
