Women’s Missions & Ministry, through the Hannah Reynolds WMU Scholarships, have long history and dedication to collegiate students. Along with financial assistance, student recipients are regularly encouraged through prayer.

Scholarships are:
- Granted annually by Louisiana WMU/scholarship committee and administered by Louisiana Baptists; Women’s Missions & Ministry Strategist
- For women and men who are pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree
- In the amount of $1200 per year/ $600 per semester, paid directly to LC
Applicant must be:
- A Louisiana native and/or graduate of a Louisiana high school (exception: parents are appointed IMB missionaries)
- An active member in a Louisiana Southern Baptist church
- Active in Southern Baptist WMU or RA missions organization
While at LC, you must:
- Be active in a local Southern Baptist church
- Be involved in a Southern Baptist mission’s education organization (i.e. the campus myMission group, The C.O.R.P.S.; myMission, Women on Mission or Baptist Men; or lead GA, RA, Children in Action, Acteens, Youth on Mission or Mission Friends in a local church)
- A full-time student (12 main campus, classroom hours per semester)
- Maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA
Application Process:
- Complete and submit online scholarship application
- Applications are available from September 1-January 10
- Completed, signed applications must be submitted on or before January 15 for the upcoming school year
- Scholarships are reviewed by the scholarship committee and approved by the Louisiana WMU State Council in the Spring meeting
- Applicants will be notified by the state Women’s Missions & Ministry strategist
- A signed acceptance form must be received in the Louisiana Baptists’ Women’s Missions & Ministry office by the date on the acceptance form
- Scholarships are awarded on a one-year basis and are not automatically renewed. Students must reapply each year.

- Granted annually by Louisiana WMU and administered by the state Women’s Missions & Ministry Strategist
- For women who are working toward Master’s degree
- In the amount of $1600 per year/ $800 per semester, paid directly to the seminary
Applicant must:
- Devoted to the Lord, His church and work
- Graduate of a Louisiana high school and/or a long-term Louisiana resident (minimum five years)
- An active member in a Louisiana Southern Baptist church
- Active in Southern Baptist missions organizations
While at seminary, must:
- Be active in a local Southern Baptist church
- Be involved in Southern Baptist missions and/or mission’s education organizations (i.e. myMission, Women on Mission, GA, RA, Children in Action, Youth on Mission or Mission Friends leader)
- Be a full-time student, at main campus, enrolled for 9 classroom hours
- Maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA
Application Process:
- Complete and submit online scholarship application
- The completed, signed application must be submitted on or before May 25 for the upcoming school year
- Scholarships are reviewed and recommended by the scholarship committee and approved by the State WMU Council in the Summer meeting
- Applicants will be notified by the Women’s Missions & Ministry Strategist following State WMU Council approval
- A signed acceptance form must be received in the Women’s Missions & Ministry office by date stated on the acceptance form
- Scholarships are awarded on a one-year basis and are not automatically renewed. Students must reapply each year

Scholarships are:
- Granted annually by Louisiana WMU and administered by the state Women’s Missions & Ministry Strategist
- Student wives enrolled or enrolling in the Thrive program at NOBTS
- In the amount of $400 per year, covering $100 per course, not to exceed $200 per semester for two years of the certificate program
Applicant must be:
- Member of a Louisiana Baptist church (5 years or more)
- Wife of a recent graduate who was unable to complete the THRIVE classed prior to his graduation, or
- Wife of a Louisiana Baptist church pastor/minister or church planter who desires to complete the THRIVE program
Applicants while in the program must be working alongside her husband and encouraging the church or church plant to:
- Support and give to the Cooperative Program and the three mission offerings, Georgia Barnette State Mission Offering, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
- Encourage and support church to be involved in missions and mission’s education through WMU resources
Application Process:
- Complete and submit on-line certificate application
- Applications are available from September 1 – May 1
- Completed, signed application must be submitted on or before May 25 for the upcoming school year
- Scholarships are reviewed and recommended by the scholarship committee and approved by the State WMU Council in the Summer meeting
- Recipients will be notified by the Women’s Missions & Ministry Strategist following State WMU Council approval

- For African-American pastor of a Louisiana Southern Baptist African-American mission church/church plant who is pursuing a Master’s Degree or Christian Education diploma
- In the amount of $1200 per year/ $600 paid directly to the seminary per semester
Applicant must:
- Devoted to the Lord, His church and work
- Be a Louisiana resident
- Pastor a Louisiana Baptist Convention mission church/church plant
- Be endorsed by Director of Missions and sponsoring church pastor
While at Seminary, must:
- Lead mission church/church plant to participate in the Weeks of Prayer for State Missions, International Missions and North American Missions and to contribute to Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
- Lead the mission to support the Cooperative Program and local association through giving a title of the mission’s budget income and be actively involved in the local association
- Be enrolled in six hours minimum at a Southern Baptist seminary or its approved extension center while pursuing a Master’s Degree or Christian Education diploma
