On this page you will find links and connections to resources that may be helpful to you in your Children’s Ministry. These resources are provided as a resource to the local church and to anyone ministering to Children and their families.

In ministry, you can often learn more from mistakes than successes. Jerry Vogel, Kids’ Ministry Specialist at LifeWay Christian Resources, has taken that principle to heart! Watch him share tips on what he has learned not to do in kids’ ministry.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is still the single largest evangelistic effort of the local church in the year. This is the one time a year that the community will willingly bring their families and leave them with your church for a dedicated time.

This knowledge is combined with the statistics that show us that the more people who are trained and ready directly correlates to more children following the Lord in salvation decisions and baptism.

Knowing that the Lord has put this opportunity at our doorstep we, as Louisiana Baptists, want to assist the local church in any way possible to help them with Vacation Bible Schools.

This page and these videos are a great step to help your church be ready for the children, and their families, whom the Lord is already planning on bringing your way.  Please take advantage of this opportunity and use these resources as a great training tool to help your people be ready.

Events

Much of the Louisiana Baptists’ partnership is the ability to partner with churches in sponsoring and promoting larger events that would be beyond an average church’s ability. On this page please find links to upcoming events that will help your church reach that next level in Children’s Ministry.

Training

The Children’s Ministry Office provides training opportunities for any and all Louisiana Baptist Churches. This training occurs in several ways.

God does not always call the equipped, but, He always equips the called.

Every year in late summer and early fall, regional trainings in every part of the state are held that provide age graded and qualified training opportunities. In addition to these opportunities, churches and associations are able to request training from the Childhood Ministry office at any time and on any subject.
