As we approach this year’s annual meeting of Great Commission Baptists, I would like to ask you to pray.   Simply stated, I believe that above all things our annual meeting must be saturated in prayer, so that it does not become about what we think or what we want, but what God wants.

For this reason I am asking you to join me, Marshal Ausberry, Ronnie Floyd and others in devoting time to focused prayer and fasting for our convention over the next three weeks.   Specifically, I am asking all Great Commission Baptists to join together in committed, specific times of prayer and fasting over the next three Wednesdays – May 26, June 2, and June 9.

Here is my ask:  Will you and your communications teams participate in and promote this together?

We need to come together in prayer.

We’ve put together a prayer and fasting guide that I encourage you to share with all association leaders, pastors and congregants in your state, in order that we may be able to cry out to the Lord together.

I have been praying specifically that every single thing we do in Nashville would tell a lost and watching world about the love of Jesus Christ. I look forward to praying and fasting with you in the coming days.
