Archives

The purpose of the Louisiana Baptists Archives is to help and support in preservation, appreciation, and utilizing their heritage; and by encouraging and assisting them in recording church history and preserving the records for study and research. Research materials and the archive services are designed to help individuals, churches, and associations by providing a microfilming service, facilities for research, and an environmentally controlled area in which to place donated items.

You can also find assistance for giving an oral history of your church here.

Available Materials

  • Researchers have access to Louisiana Baptist annuals, associational minutes, and church histories that have been donated from church and individuals
  • Historical information in many forms to help the researcher in tracing their church history
  • Indexed categorized lists of the archive materials are available on request
