Update – Senate Bill 654

June 3, 2014

Senate Bill 654 passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 53-44. Its final passage means movie theaters in the state must meet certain requirements and adhere to specific regulations in order to obtain a license to sell alcoholic beverages. However, the ultimate decision as to whether or not a specific theater is allowed to serve alcohol will still be up to local governments. So, you can keep theaters in your community from serving alcohol by appealing to the proper authorities.

Thanks to everyone who contacted your representative in an effort to defeat SB 654.
