Louisiana Creative Arts Festival


This conference includes training and demonstration of creative arts in ministry, worship, and missions. Workshops will include sessions for adults and students. You will learn techniques for using multiple disciplines, such as dramatic scripts, video, script writing, clowning, puppetry, and children’s ministry.

The conference will also showcase the work of conference leaders and professional performers. This event is a great way to begin a new ministry or strengthen an existing one! This weekend will be sure to inspire you as a Christ-follower.

Friday night will feature performances and a “dessert” theater. On Saturday, participants will be able to learn from experienced creatives in four breakout sessions.

Topics for the breakout sessions will include creative signing, creative media, basic makeup, drama games, writing and many more. For more detailed information, you can download the full schedule below.

Featured Performer: Wesley Brainard

Wesley graduated with honors from the famed Marcel Marceau School of Mime in Paris, France. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Oral Roberts University Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma with thesis research in “The Performing Arts in the Christian Church” and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from Youngstown State University.

Wesley began CHARAKTER Ministry of the Arts as a student-led ministry at Oral Roberts University in 1991. After studying with Marcel Marceau, Wesley spent a short time as a part of Marceau’s professional touring company before returning to Tulsa to continue the dramatic arts ministry of CHARAKTER.
